Pendore - Syrah
The Pendore vineyards are located near the town Kemaliye in the Aegean Region. The name Pendore comes from the Greek “pence horyos”, which means “Five Villages”. Pendore Syrah is made from Syrah grapes grown 250 m above sea level and the soil is composed of clay and limestone. The vineyard is located in a special micro-climate where continental and Mediterranean climates meet. Grown with low yield (40 hl/ ha) and harvested by hand at their highest level of maturity, the grapes are processed in with a gravity system (where the grapes are carried via gravity without being bruised by pumps). Pendore Syrah offers rich and complex flavours, it is an intense, full-bodied and longlasting terroir-wine.
