Pendore - Boğazkere
Pendore vineyards are located near the town Kemaliye in the Aegean Region. The name Pendore comes from the Latin “pence horyos”, which means “Five Villages”. Boğazkere grapes are grown 450 m above sea level and the soil is composed of gravel and clay. The vineyard is located in a special micro-climate where continental and Mediterranean climates meet. Grown with low yield (50 hl/ ha) and harvested by hand at their highest level of maturity, the grapes are processed in with a gravity system (where the grapes are carried via gravity without being bruised by pumps). Pendore Boğazkere is a fine-textured terroir wine with intense black fruit and spice aromas with strong ripe tannins that become pronounced on the palate.
